The Oasis playground
In 2018 and then again in 2020, Oasis Community Partnership, Living Water Community Church, Swatara Township, and Dauphin County collaborated to create a large playground for the residents of Swatara Township and the surrounding community.
The playground features a large play structure of ramps, slides, and ladders designed for children ages 5 to 12 and a smaller play structure for children ages 2 to 5. In addition to the play structure, there is a large swing set for children of all ages, a discovery cave, and plenty of seating for adults.
The entire area is enclosed by a fence for the safety of the children and the peace of mind of their parents and guardians.
The Oasis Patio
In 2024, Oasis Community Partnership and Living Water Community Church added the Oasis Patio immediately outside of the Oasis Playground. The patio features three octagonal picnic tables with umbrellas. The tables seat 22 people and have a designated area for a wheelchair. The patio is surrounded by heavy bollards, which provide protection from the adjacent parking lot.
Operating Hours
The Oasis Playground and Patio are open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
Reservations
Although the Oasis Playground may not be reserved, it is possible to reserve the Oasis Patio. The patio may be reserved in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks based on the following schedule:
- Monday through Saturday
- Afternoon: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Evening: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Full Day: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Sunday
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
The reservation fees are as follows:
- Living Water Members / Regular Attendees
- Afternoon/Evening $50
- Full Day $75
- Others (Includes $25 security deposit)
- Afternoon/Evening $100
- Full Day $125
