She left Nationwide in 2015 to pursue an opportunity as Director of Development for Brethren Housing Association, the very organization that provided a safe place to call home after becoming homeless with her young son. For two and half years, she managed all fundraising, communications, and donor relation efforts. She helped to create their latest spring fundraising event, the Little Black Dress Soiree, that helps raise funds for the single moms and children BHA serves.
