Since graduating from college in 2006, She worked for Nationwide Insurance as a Personal Lines Portfolio Underwriting Specialist for 9 years. In addition to her job responsibilities there, Lakeyshia has led and managed several major events for Nationwide including various United Way activities and Bring Your Child to Work Day. She left Nationwide in 2015 to pursue an opportunity as Director of Development for Brethren Housing Association, the very organization that provided a safe place to call home after becoming homeless with her young son. For two and half years, she managed all fundraising, communications, and donor relation efforts. She helped to create their latest spring fundraising event, the Little Black Dress Soiree, that helps raise funds for the single moms and children BHA serves. In November 2017, Lakeyshia transitioned back into insurance and began working as an underwriter for The Doctors Company.
Lakeyshia resides in Harrisburg, Pa with her husband Aaron, three sons and daughter. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Human Services in 2015 from Wilmington University.
